Volunteer receives inquiries about obtaining the Sacrament of Baptism for their children. Assistance is given as to the proper paperwok that must be completed after watching an informative video before setting a Baptismal date.
These ministers sew the Baptismal garments for infants and small children to be used during the celebration of the Sacrament.
God's Word becomes real to us when we hear it and relate it to our own lives. Liturgy of the Word for Children allows children to hear the Word at their level of understanding and to discuss its relevance in their daily life. Adults are welcome to become a Minister of the Word for Children. Training is offered and a Leader Guide is used.
On a rotating basis a dedicated group of volunteers launder and iron the purificators, corporals, small towels, etc., that are used at the altar for the celebration of Mass. The time is minimal. The rewards are eternal!
Help set up and take down the Sale twice a year in the Gathering Space.
Teach the children about Jesus and our Catholic Faith. Prepare second and third graders for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion.
The Giving Tree takes place right before and during Advent. A tag is selected, which is a paper ornament with a written gift on it from the tree; which has been set up in the Gathering Space of the church. The collected items are distributed to a variety of social service organizations serving the needs of the very young to the elderly, as well as veterans and struggling teens.
The Youth Altar Servers assist the priest during Mass by participating in the entrance procession, presentation of the gifts, setting the altar as well as holding the prayer books at times. They serve during weekend liturgies, special celebrations, & weddings. Servers must have received First Eucharist prior to training for this ministry.

There are presently five rotating teams of volunteers who share their talents on Saturday morning in preparation for Sunday.
Volunteers assist the Catechist and works with children ages 3 - 12, utilizing hands on materials to learn about Jesus. A meeting must be set up with the director to receive some instruction before entering the classroom.
On a regular basis, this committee monitors the physical conditions of parish properties through inspection and occasional feedback from parishioners, maintains a master list of items in need of attention, and assigns priorities and tentative timeframes for action. The group will advise the pastor on scope of work requird for such projects, and will provide input on the selection of tradespeople to do the work. The committee will follow up on completion of each project to assure all work was performed satisfactorily, any punch list items are dealt with promptly, and assure maintenance of an accurate history of all pertinent information are kept for the parish records. The committee meets every fourth Thursday each month at 1pm in the Parish Center.
Once a month coffee and donuts are served in the Gathering Space after the 8:30am Mass. In this ministry you will organize getting everything together, making the coffee and making sure everyone's needs are met. In nicer weather the event is held outside.
The Counters meet every Monday morning at 8:30am in the Parish Center and count and categorize all donations that are collected at the weekend Masses. Join seasoned counters who will show you how it's done.
If you have received the Sacrament of Confirmation, you are eligible to become an Extraordianary Minister of Holy Communion for our faith community. It is an honor and a blessing to assist in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during the celebration of the Mass, the banquet of Love. They are also available to bring Communion to those who are homebound and to our local nursing home. Instruction and training in this ministry is provided.
The Finance Council ensures the parish is financially responsible. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing the annual budget, reviewing parish revenue, investigating cost saving strategies & providing parishioners with a financial report of the parish.
Adult volunteers are needed to join a team of funeral servers/readers. Masses of Christian burial are usually scheduled Monday through Saturday late morning. You will be expected to arrive 20 minutes early to set up and assist the priest. The Mass will last about an hour. Putting items away after the funeral will take about 15 minutes. You will be shown everything you have to know. Albs will be provided.
