The success of our faith formation programs depends on the dedicated individuals in our parish willing to share their time, talents and faith with the future Church, our parish children.

THE ROLE OF A CATECHIST is to bring young people closer to Jesus and grow in their faith as Catholics.  Through their service the catechist nurtures and mentors the faith and spiritual growth of the children.

QUALIFICATIONS OF A CATECHIST must be at least 18 years old, a practicing Catholic in good standing who has a love for children and/or teens with the ability to relate well to others and have a desire to share our faith with young people. You need to have a basic understanding of Catholic teachings and Catholic Tradition.  VIRTUS training and a background check which are mandated by the Archdiocese.

BENEFITS OF INVOLVEMENT will give the catechist a sense of the true joy of serving and living out your baptismal call to serve God and others.  Being with children and teens is fun!
